One of the biggest misconceptions out there is that you don’t need a professionally designed website to run your business, or even worse, you don’t need a website at all.
I cringe so hard when I hear people say that they run their business from Instagram or Facebook and they really don’t need a website 😣.
Here’s the thing. That strategy can take you to a certain level. But you WILL get to a point in your business where you need to uplevel and have your own professional website. Here are 3 reasons why.
When you have a professional website, you control everything about your clients experience when they visit – from the look and feel, to what your visitors see first.
You get to decide on the path your visitors take through your website, and bring the focus to the most important parts.
None of that can happen on Instagram or Facebook. Social media platforms serve up whatever the algorithm wants to serve up, whenever they want to. You can never be sure exactly what potential clients are seeing.
I often get interested in somebody’s business when I find them on Instagram, but I almost always look for a website where I can quickly go and read about the details that I want to know more about. It’s annoying and time consuming to scroll through posts or story highlights looking for key information.
A professional website is the most efficient way to share the key details about your business.
When you have a professionally designed site, it’s going to do a lot of the work for you!
It will move your clients along on their customer journey from just meeting you, towards working with you – even if you’re not there interacting at that moment. (No more spending hours in the DM’s!)
Your website is always there, communicating the message that you want to share. It’s essentially going to work and doing that first part of the sales process for you – even while you sleep 🙂
